Economic Impact Evaluation using Named Entity Recognition
Replicated the EconBERTa paper and increased model robustness using Invariance and Directional tests. Created dataset with 9000+ examples to fine-tune the model on using data augmentation techniques. Fine-tuned BERT, RoBERTa, and mDeBERTa models and compared performances.
Massive-scale Movie Recommendation System
Utilized Spark and Hadoop for creating a massive scale recommendation system using publicly available data. Implemented Collaborative Filters and ALS models in addition to a supervised Random Forest model and compared their performances. Used various metrics like RMSE, MSE, and MAP.
Sentiment Analysis on Millions of Yelp Reviews
This project performs sentiment analysis on Yelp reviews using Apache Spark and Spark NLP. The project includes two main scripts:
spark_nlp_sentiment_analysis.py: Utilizes pre-trained models from Spark NLP for sentiment analysis.
yelp_sentiment_analysis_pipeline.py: Implements a custom sentiment analysis pipeline using various NLP techniques and machine learning models.
